This location was sampled by the other team, who provided the lovely photos below. The waterway nearby is the North Fork of the Nooksack River. The area is surrounded by agricultural land. In the area of observation, there seems to be a variety of conifers and mixed hardwoods trees. The river is rocky and sandy nearby, having several overhanging areas of shade. There are many fallen trees in and around the waterway. The water is swift moving. There are eagle’s nests in the area, likely near here to hunt the spawning salmon.
The soil acidity here is consistent with the in-town locations. The water was not sampled. The presence of fruiting bodies here is dramatically higher than in-town locations.

The data from this location is much more balanced in pH to fungi.
